Congratulations! You have just stumbled (or is it tumbl'd?) onto the most fascinating life story you'll ever hear. For as long as I can remember, my Father has regaled everyone he's met with stories from his past. Whether it was of him growing up in Momella National Park in Tanzania, or coming to America, nothing he's ever done has been by the book, or could even disguise itself for ordinary. And the one thing everyone always says after hearing one of his stories is: "You should write a book!" Unfortunately, that has yet to happen. Probably this is because a lot of people with amazing experiences go and write books about them, and well, you know...that would be just a little bit too "ordinary" for my Father.
Then one day my family figured out an un-ordinary way for Father to publish his stories: on Youtube. And so the great project began...and is still going on. ReplyDeleteTate, your dad is a wonderful person and a great storyteller. We at the African American Voice enjoyed his stories and his African proverbs so much. We are glad that you and the family are taking on this project and bringing his stories to a larger audience that they may grow to know him and appreciate him the way we at the African American Voice did. We will be looking forward to following your blog.
